LOHS' Cell Out for Soldiers again a success

LOHS' Cell Out for Soldiers again a success

The fifth annual Cell Out for Soldiers event at Lake Orion High School was an impressive success.

Raising money for the Cell Phones for Soldiers charity, 1,938 LOHS students handed over their phones for the school day on January 18, with a $1 donation being shared for each student who participated.

The total participation was 85.7% of the attending student body that day, reminding the impact students can have to help others.

This year's event was unique as the founder of CPFS, Rob Berquist, attended for the first time and was overwhelmed by the students' involvement and the Leadership class' coordination.
