This spring there are 13 student athletes from Lake Orion High School who have committed to become student-athletes at the college level.
Overall, the class of 2020 has 30 student-athletes who have made the commitment to become college student-athletes.
The 2020 spring class includes: football players Sanai Pillot to Alma College, Sam Staruch to The University of Michigan, Ari Curtis to Ellsworth College, volleyball players Courtney Andras to Wisconsin Lutheran, Kylie Andras to Cornerstone University, lacrosse players Hunter McCarty to Concordia University, Steve Martin to Adrian College, Matthew Mancini to Grand Valley State University, track and cross country athlete Andrew Nolan to Michigan State University, baseball player Teddy Hirschfield to Albion College, soccer player Matia Rourke to Kalamazoo College, golfer Zachary Hay to Saginaw Valley State University and wrestler Mason Slocum to Adrian College.
Among this group are state champions, multiple state finalists and semi-finalists, league champions and scholar athletes.
They have made a commitment to their athletics and their academics to earn this opportunity to continue their athletic careers while attending college.
For the signing periods, Lake Orion High School recognizes the athletes at an official signing ceremony.
