LOHS seniors who have made their decisions on attending college or starting their careers after high school were recognized the week of May 1 at the first LOHS College and Career Decision Days.
With assistance from Yearbook student photographers and Leadership Workshop student organizers, approximately 300 members of the LOHS Class of 2019 proudly displayed their college and career choices, making public their decisions to attend college, serve the nation in the military, or begin their careers after high school.

Associate Principal Mr. Meteyer said, "It's important that all students are celebrated for their successes and choices to find a path that is right for them after high school. We are proud of all of our graduates' accomplishments, and it is very satisfying to see the diverse array of colleges, branches of the military, and other careers that our soon-to-be-alumni have decided upon."
LOHS College and Career Decision Days are aligned with a national movement centered around May 1, which is generally the deadline that most colleges and universities have for students to commit to their institutions.
