Paint Creek students build a flower garden for local honeybees

Students work on flower garden
As part of Paint Creek Elementary's after-school enrichment program, they created a Garden Club.
Students were given the task to construct a flower garden at Paint Creek that would provide nectar sources for our local honeybee population.
Students were ask to research, build, create, and grow plants during this six-week experience.
During the time, the students used technology to research flowers, built bee baths for a water source, grew plants using our indoor greenhouse, and scouted for a perfect garden location.
They contacted local businesses, including Home Depot (Auburn Hills location) for help with supplies.
The results are amazing! All 23 students, along with teachers (Maureen Schabel and Teresa Bronczyk), built a permanent garden outside for our school and the bees to enjoy.
