Scripps 7th Grade Social Studies Learns about the Bronze Age

Students study texts and a laptop to learn about mummification

Students in Mr. Maxfield and Mrs. Mundie's 7th grade Social Studies spent the week of January 6th diving into the Bronze Age with a variety of fascinating student centers. Students had the chance to dig into Hammurabi's Code, write in cuneiform on clay tablets, study primary source documents on Mesopotamia, write their name in hieroglyphs, learn the steps of mummification, and take a VR tour of the Egyptian Princess Idut's tomb, among other fun stations.
