Ms. Cardinal's class at Stadium Drive Elementary learned about endangered animal habitats and the students were moved by the lesson.
They asked what they could do to help and set out on a mission to raise money.
After asking Stadium Drive principal Rob Murray if they could sell ring pops for $1 to raise funds to donate, they were off and running.
Complete with their commercial advertisement, they raised over $700 in the first two weeks and plan to continue in the building until May 3.
Outside supporters can donate to the cause as well.
