Adam Weldon
Dr. Sara Leggett
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Access

Sara is an educational leader committed to building communities where people feel seen, connected, and have a true sense of belonging. With over 14 years of experience in public education, she has served as a school psychologist, a program consultant for students with intensive support needs, a Section 504 coordinator, and a special education director. Sara's leadership is grounded in socially just practices and a belief that inclusion must be embedded within systems, not left to individuals alone. Sara finds deep purpose in coaching special educators, mentoring teachers, and partnering with families to create environments where both adults and children can thrive.

Sara recently defended her dissertation in Educational Leadership at Central Michigan University, which was nominated for a national award by the Council of Graduate Studies. Her research explores inclusively conscious early childhood leadership and how to better support leaders and systems in creating meaningful, sustainable inclusive environments for all learners.
