Diversity: The practice of recognizing and honoring individual uniqueness by acknowledging human variations to create meaningful opportunities for personal connections that recognize, foster, value, and respect our similarities and differences.

Equity: An imperative process of removing barriers and creating spaces by intentionally putting it at the forefront, ensuring access for all while amplifying diverse voices that are treated as insignificant and are unacknowledged. 

Inclusion: Intentionally using privilege or unearned benefits to amplify those who are treated as insignificant and unacknowledged so that their voices are heard and valued, and every individual feels a sense of belonging.

Cultural Competency: Being aware of one’s own world view and developing positive attitudes towards cultural differences through gaining knowledge of different cultural practices and world views by developing skills for communication and interaction across cultures.

Belonging and Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain are the  theme this year for the Staff PD.
