Great Start Readiness Programs
The State of Michigan has launched an initiative to provide FREE preschool for all qualifying 4-year-olds! The program is an expansion of the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and is fully funded by the state of Michigan. Enrollment for the program has expanded to all families, regardless of income, while prioritizing families most in need with an income-based enrollment schedule.
Enrollment for all Lake Orion Community Schools district residents is happening now.

GREAT START COLLABORATIVE OAKLAND COUNTY
Pre-K for All/Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free state funded preschool offered 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, all day sessions (hours: 8:30am-3:30pm/8:45am-3:45pm/9:00am-4:00pm). Children enrolling in this program must be four, but not 5 years of age, by September 1, of the current school year. Parents must provide transportation.
The program offers a variety of social, cognitive and physical experiences to children in a developmentally appropriate setting. The program services children who may be at risk of future educational difficulties.
Funding of this program depends solely on allocation from the state government and is not guaranteed every year. To be eligible families must meet state guidelines and qualifying factors.

Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm/8:45am-3:45pm/9:00am-4:00 pm (7-hour school day)
