Plans
A design team is working to create a new bus loop, a reconstructed office including a secure entrance, a new STEM lab, two additional classrooms and six additional small spaces for small group learning.
The site will also have redesigned parking for improved traffic flow, including a new bus loop.
The construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2020 and conclude in the fall of 2020.
On Sept. 11, 2019, Lake Orion Community Schools' Bond Architect GMB A+E presented the conceptual plans for the renovated Carpenter Elementary school to the LOCS Board of Education.
Process
Construction is completed for the secured entry and parking lots, bus loop, updated office, STEM lab, new classrooms and learning spaces. (December 1, 2020 Update)
