Student Scholarships

The Board of Education offers scholarships each year to Lake Orion High School/Learning Options graduates: 


Criteria for each Scholarship is listed below:

AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP:  LAKE ORION HIGH SCHOOL

This scholarship has been established to recognize a student who has demonstrated commitment to the goals of scholastic achievement, community service, and responsible citizenship toward which our school aspires.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (through 3rd term of senior year)
  • Admission to a college, university, trade or technical school
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities, school and community service

Winners will be announced at the Senior Academic and Honors Ceremony.

 

OUTSTANDING SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP:  HIGH SCHOOL

This scholarship has been established to recognize a student who has contributed outstanding service to Lake Orion High School through his/her high school years.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.2 or better (through 3rd term of senior year)
  • Admission to a college, university, trade or technical school
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities and community service

Winners will be announced at the Senior Academic and Honors Ceremony.

                         

VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP:  LAKE ORION HIGH SCHOOL

This scholarship was established to recognize outstanding performance and achievement in a vocational or technical program. 

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.2 or better (through 3rd term of senior year)
  • Admission to a college, university, trade or technical school

Winner will be announced at the Senior Academic and Honors Ceremony. 

                                           

ARTS AND LITERATURE SCHOLARSHIP:  LAKE ORION HIGH SCHOOL

This scholarship was established to recognize a student whose academic experience has been enhanced through art, drama, music, dance or literature. 

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.2 or better (through 3rd term of senior year)
  • Admission to a college, university, trade or technical school
  • Involvement in an art, drama, music, dance or literature program

Winner will be announced at the Senior Academic and Honors Ceremony. 

 

AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP:  LEARNING OPTIONS HIGH SCHOOL

This scholarship has been established to recognize a student who has demonstrated commitment to the goals of scholastic achievement and responsible citizenship toward which our school aspires. 

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Student must be enrolled in Learning Options High School for three consecutive terms prior to applying for the Ambassador Scholarship.
  • Admission to a college, university, trade or technical school

Winner will be announced at the Learning Options Graduation Ceremony.
