2021 LOCS VIRTUAL MLK DAY COMMUNITY WIDE CELEBRATION
Lake Orion Community Schools invites all community members to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy by participating and/or joining in activities that are offered today by LOCS and throughout the state.

LOCS Schedule of Events
- 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- LOCS Staff Professional Development: Keynote Speaker -- Dr. Eddie Moore Jr. and MLK Professional Development
- 10 a.m. – All Day
- MLK Staff and Students Children’s Stories Read Aloud
- 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
- MLK Live Virtual Ceremony (To honor Dr. King’s legacy and honor contest winners)
- 6:30 p.m.
- Twitter chat with LOCS Diversity and Equity Coordinator Michelle Cureton (@CuretonMichelle) using the hashtag #MLKLOCS.

Free MLK Activity Bag!
A crown is a symbol of honor, triumph, and glory. LOCS students can pick up an activity bag with a Dr. King crown and activity sheets from their school (Elementary School and Pine Tree Center principals will give send details regarding pick up times and days)
