Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Lake Orion High School’s CTE program empowers students to become globally competitive in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing marketplace in a rigorous and experiential learning environment. Students enrolled in these courses are offered post-secondary articulated credits, as well as industry certifications. Students are provided opportunities to refine their academic and technical skills through training and project-based learning necessary to succeed in their area of study.
We strive to prepare our students to be college and career ready upon graduation through partnerships with local business and industry advisors and mentors, curriculum that aligns with post-secondary and today’s industry standards. In addition, students are offered leadership opportunities through student organizations such as DECA, BPA, Future Educators and FIRST Robotics. Our CTE students gain the skills and knowledge in their career pathways to not only be successful, but to become lifelong learners.
