Welcome Letter from Principal

Dear Orion Oaks Families,

I am thrilled and honored to be the new principal of Orion Oaks Elementary School! For the past 17 years I have been the principal of Waldon Middle School just down the road.  Prior to that, I taught elementary school for 9 years in the Bay City Public Schools and in the Troy School District. I am really looking forward to getting back to the excitement and energy of the elementary setting.

Orion Oaks Elementary is known as a high performing school in our district and county. I am excited to work alongside the incredible staff, students, and parents to continue the great traditions, amazing learning environment, and high academic achievement. My goal is to continue to provide a supportive environment that will enable our students and staff to succeed. My belief is that strong relationships are the key to that success and will be my highest priority as I begin my new role.

I am excited to meet each of you, whether at school events, open house, parent-teacher conferences, or just popping into school! Your feedback, ideas, and involvement are encouraged and welcomed!
