Social-Emotional Support
Lake Orion Community Schools has many programs and resources for social-emotional support. Below are a few at each level to connect with and support the students, plus Parent Guidance, which is a resource for all levels.
Elementary School
- District-wide SEL program created around the CASEL framework, which is the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning supported by the Michigan Department of Education
- General Education Social Workers/Family School Coordinators who provide SEL and crisis intervention support at every elementary building
- Each elementary building is staffed with a social worker and ancillary staff to support students
- Positivity Project
Middle School
- Olweus Anti-Bullying Program
- Behaviorist on staff at every building

High School
