Return To School -- Remote

Remote start

On September 8, 2020, Lake Orion Community Schools began the school 2020-21 school year in a remote setting for all students.

Students will be placed in grade-level classes as they would in a previous school year, though each class will be delivered and meet in an online format.

LOCS Superintendent Ben Kirby proposed that all schools are scheduled to remain in the remote format through November 6, the end of the first marking period. Assuming health and safety standards are achieved LOCS would resume in-person learning, and launch its Dragon Virtual program, on November 9, 2020.

The LOCS Board of Education approved the all-remote plan at the August 12, 2020 board meeting.
