6^th Grade Supply List

*Students will utilize headphones/earbuds throughout the school year.  If they don’t wish to borrow school issued ones, it would be nice for them to have an inexpensive pair of their own at school. 

·      12  Elmer’s glue sticks

·      1 - 12 pack of colored pencils

·      1 - 4 pack assorted highlighters

·      1 - black, fine point Sharpie

·      1 - pack dry erase markers (science)

·      2 - dozen #2 pencils (sharpened)

·      1 - zippered pencil case (3-hole punched)

·      6 - packs of 3 x 3 100 count sticky notes—yellow or pastel colors only (ELA/Science)

·      5 - 2-pocket plastic/sturdy folders—no prongs (different colors to aid in organization)

·      2 - composition notebooks (ELA)

·      2 - packages of loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled) (science & 1^st hour)

·      3 - single-subject spiral notebooks (wide-ruled) (social studies-1, math-2)

·      2 - 1” binder (social studies/science)

·      3 - 100 count packs of 3 x 5 index cards (social studies)

Recommended, but not required: variety pack of coloring markers of choice for ELA reading/writing notebook work.

Calculator:

Advanced Math Students (High School Algebra 1 course): It is recommended that students purchase a TI-84 Plus graphing calculator. While they are expensive, often costing over $100, they will be used through the end of high school. Consider it a five-year investment. Those students choosing not to purchase a TI-84 Plus will need a graphing calculator app or program on their home computer to complete homework. The TI-84 Plus CE has a color screen and is preferred, but is more expensive.

General Math Students (Math 8): A Casio fx-300ES Plus scientific calculator is recommended.
