Attendance Information

Notification MUST be received within 24 hours to excuse an absence.

Ways to notify the school of an absence:

1. Call the school: 248-693-5440, select option 1 for the attendance line.
2. E-mail the Attendance Secretary: Mrs. Taylor, megan.taylor@lok12.org
3. Send a note in prior to the date of absence(s)

Information needed to report an absence:

• Student first name
• Say and spell student last name
• Student grade
• Date of absence(s)
• Reason of absence(s)
• Who is calling

Students arriving late to school MUST report to the Main Office as they arrive.

Tardies are marked Unexcused until the school is notified by a Parent/Guardian.

Ways to notify the school of tardiness:

1. Either before or after the student arrives, call the school: 248-693-5440, select option 1 for the attendance line.
2. Parent escorts the student into the building upon arrival.
3. Written note from Parent/Guardian.
4. E-mail the Attendance Secretary: Mrs. Taylor, megan.taylor@lok12.org

We are aware that students may need to leave the building early for appointments. If you could make us aware of the event as soon as possible, we can act accordingly to get the information needed to the student/staff members involved.

Students are not pulled from class until the parent checks in at the office.

If your child needs leave school early, please remember to bring identification when you enter the building. Only adults who are listed in Powerschool as "school pickup" will be permitted to pick-up a student from school early.

Please note, students will only be dismissed from school after 2:00 p.m. if there is a family emergency. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Bus Passes

Bus passes should only be for child care, athletics and family emergencies. If your child needs a bus pass we must have documentation with a parent/guardian signature (a scan/picture will work) submitted to Mrs. Arnold in the main office. .

Students who are absent have the number of days absent (+1) to make up course work. You may request work if the student will be out 2 or more consecutive days. Requests need to be received before 10:00am. Work and textbooks will be gathered and made available at the end of the school day (2:30pm).

For your convenience, please call around 2:00pm to check if any work has been prepared. The Main Office is open until 3:00pm daily.
