LOHS 2022 Dragon Yearbook details for seniors:
The deadline to purchase a Senior Parent Ad for the 2022 Dragon Yearbook is Friday, December 17, 2021. Please see the attached information and contract. You can submit your ads by emailing photos, your message, and the contract to Yearbook Adviser Stephanie Orth at stephanie.orth@lok12.org.
You can pay with cash or a check made payable to LOCS - this payment can be mailed to:

Or, payment can be left at the front doors, in the main office, or brought to the yearbook classroom, A-207.
Additionally, payment can be made with a credit or debit card through yearbookordercenter.com by searching for our job number, 3059, or for Lake Orion High School. Please be sure you are purchasing a Senior Parent Ad and not a Business Ad - senior parent ads are cheaper.

2022 Senior Parent Ad Contract
FAFSA (College Student Aid)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form used to apply for financial aid for college. LOHS seniors are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 to determine what federal student aid opportunities may be available to them. The Michigan deadline for federal grants and scholarships is March 1, 2022.

Additionally, although the FAFSA process is the same for any college, attached is a presentation from Baker College that provides a quality summary of the FAFSA process, including additional helpful resources.

College visits
During the months of September and October, LOHS will be hosting admissions recruiter visits from a variety of colleges, universities, trade schools, and the military service. These informational seminars are scheduled during the school day and are available to Juniors and Seniors.
A chronological listing is provided below and will be updated on a weekly basis. To register for a visit, students should complete the corresponding form while logged into their LOCS (Microsoft) account.
LOHS 2021-2022 Admissions Visits
On the day or morning prior, students are asked to visit the Career Center to receive a pass that will excuse them from class. Be advised that students are responsible for any assigned work from classes missed during college admission visits.
Some institutions may also be offering on-site meeting that provide the possibility of an immediate decision regarding their college application.
LOHS is obligated to provide basic directory information to public institutions and military recruiters. Please complete the following survey if you would prefer to opt-out of providing that information. Directory Information Opt-Out

Cap and Gown
Cap and gown and class rings are available through Jostens. While representatives visited LOHS during September, orders can be still placed through April.
