Cell Phone Awareness
Cell phone awareness and social media dangers is a growing epidemic among our children. The scientific effect it is having on their brains is becoming more visible within our society as the research grows. The best-selling book "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt is the foremost explanation of the phenomenon.
As Lake Orion Community Schools examines and updates its cell phone policy, this research is informing the process. Staff, student and community conversations are a part of that progress.
