2024 LOCS High School Summer School Information

Welcome to Lake Orion Community Schools High School Summer 2024

Start: June 13 (or when student completes registration and orientation) 

End: All courses must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on August 1, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS or EXTENSIONS! Students are able to enroll in a MAXIMUM of two summer school courses. 

  • Credit Recovery (CR) is for students who may be behind in credits, not on track to graduate on time, or would like to improve their grade on a course that was already taken. 
    • Tuition: $175 per 0.5 credit, one semester course 
  • Credit Forward is for students who would like to earn additional credit during the summer.
    • Tuition: $300 per 0.5 credit, one semester course 
  • World Language Credit Recovery and Credit Forward (Spanish, French, German)
    • Tuition: $300 per 0.5 credit, one semester course 
  • Lake Orion High School Summer courses utilize the Imagine Edgenuity Program. 
    • Imagine Edgenuity draws upon decades of pedagogical and instructional research and insights from industry experts and educators to deliver effective and engaging instructional content that empowers each student to take an active role in their learning. 
    • The curriculum is grounded in research and based on the rigor and high expectations of current state standards. Courses are created by teams of experienced educators and instructional designers with expertise in curriculum development, instructional technology, and content-area education.
