I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer. I wanted to give you some information and remind you of some important deadlines.
We will be hosting a student item pick up at Webber on Tuesday, August 18th between 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. We will be dividing families into time slots, by your child’s last name, to be able to social distance during pick up. Student last names beginning with A-G will pick up from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m., H-O 5:00 – 5:45 p.m., and P-Z 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. More details will be sent out the week before. Parents will be able to pick up student supplies that teachers packed up, yearbooks if one was purchased and Square One Art orders. If items are not picked up on this date, they will be returned to students the week of September 7th. We will also have a box for each teacher for families to return items to Webber.
Grade level school supply lists will be posted soon on the Webber web page. We are asking students to use cinch sacks or smaller backpacks this year to allow for proper, isolated storage during the day.
The Dragon Virtual registration period opened July 30 and runs through August 7, with families registering on the link found at LakeOrionSchools.org/DragonVirtual2020. Students who choose to remain with the in-person learning this fall are already enrolled. Only the Dragon Virtual program requires an opt-in registration. More information can be found on the district web page.
Due to the current restrictions with gatherings based on the pandemic, at this time we are unfortunately not planning to hold an additional event for our 5th grade students moving on to middle school. If the situation changes, we will contact our outgoing 5th grade families.
